A TECHNICAL DEMONSTRATOR · SYNTHETIC SCENARIO

Depthmetric
Space

When a mission plan changes, what should happen to the decisions already made?

Depthmetric Space demonstrates one answer: hold executed actions fixed, repair the remaining schedule, and independently check the result before presenting it for human review.

Deterministic computation · No live mission data

THE IDEA / 01

Repair the future.
Respect the past.

A disruption can make a previously valid plan unusable. Re-optimising everything may also discard decisions that have already been executed or committed.

This demonstrator explores a narrower workflow: preserve the mission history, recalculate the remaining schedule, compare it with the cheapest remaining plan, and check the proposed repair independently.

THE QUESTIONCan a changed plan be repaired without pretending the mission starts over?
01

Keep history fixed

Actions marked executed stay in the schedule. The selected next action can be protected as a commitment when it remains feasible.

02

Repair the remainder

A solver finds a valid continuation of the synthetic mission schedule, or returns no route when the requirements cannot be met.

03

Check before review

An independent verifier checks the candidate’s actions, timing, coverage, return, costs, commitments, and scenario version.

OPEN TEST / 02

Try the workflow.

Launch verified mission repair
01

Start with the baseline

Inspect the five-target, eleven-time-point synthetic plan and its transfer costs.

CLEAN PLAN
02

Set mission progress

The default holds two of five actions as executed and the next action as committed.

HISTORY LOCKED
03

Choose a disruption

Remove a transfer, close a target window, or make a required target unavailable.

CONTROLLED INPUT
04

Compare and inspect

Compare the repair with the cheapest remaining plan, review the checks, then try the deliberate rejection test.

EVIDENCE LOG

For a quick contrast: try “No feasible repair” to see the system escalate instead of inventing a route.
